In order to support this business and to join our expanding team we are looking for a:

Operations Officer - Payments/ Settlements (100%, temporary 6 months)

We are looking for a pro-active and technically versed professional who has experience in the areas of payments, cash possessing and transaction management as well as in reconciliation of cash and securities. The ideal candidate takes ownership of issues, investigations and requests and deliver results in an international environment. Furthermore demonstrate a high client- and service orientation in the day to day business. This position will be on a fixed term contract.

Your responsibilities:

  • Processing of payment / settlement transactions and settlement in the area of Global Markets (GM) / Corporate Business Solutions and Trade Finance
  • Monitoring of incoming / outgoing payments and FX netting execution
  • Intraday support of Cash and liquidity management on Nostro accounts
  • Ensuring permanent compliance with set limits and internal procedure and policies
  • Proactive management of communication with various stakeholders internal and external
  • Responsible for reconciliation of Nostro accounts, internal accounts & GM confirmation matching

Your profile:

  • At least 2 years working experience in a comparable Payment function
  • Knowledge of Global Markets Products i.e FX & Money Market products
  • Practical knowledge of Avaloq banking system is a strong benefit
  • Experience in payments processing and investigation as well understanding of reconciliation processes
  • Knowledge of SIC/EUROSIC/SWIFT systems
  • Strong team player with a can do attitude and good communication skills
  • Swiss/EU passport or valid Swiss work permit (mandatory) as well as fluent in German and English, Russian language is a plus
