Your new role:

The Chief Data Officer shapes an optimal Master Data set up formanaging the digital transformation of Franke Group. In this new role, you are responsible for global data management and for defining the target master data management model. You willfocus on establishing a strong data governance and work with stakeholders to use data as an asset. 


Do you want to createbusiness value from data andstrategize with C-level colleagues? This senior executive role is based at headquarters in Aarburg and reports to the CFO of Franke Group. You will lead a small team and shape the direction of a larger matrix organisation. You will coach andfurther develop the team to achieve outstanding results. You demonstrate strong influencing skills and outstandingcommunications skillsto establish a clear data vision. 

Your Main Responsibilities:
  • Creating and executing a central data strategy including a robust Master Data governance and definition of adjacent processes
  • Overseeing data governance across the organization
  • Data management and ensuring data quality
  • Driving enterprise digital transformation for a more customer focused, agile, and lean organisation
  • Enabling data usability, availability, and efficiency
  • Communicating a data vision, a critical part of growth strategy
  • Identify strategic opportunities to enhance efficiency through effective use of data 
4 Key Areas of Success:

Data governance mechanisms

  • Launch of target data governance setup in the organization and implementation monitoring
  • Ensuring participants, meeting cadence, and agenda is defined for data governance monitoring by the executive committee
  • Organization of new MDM target state, and prioritization process and initiatives to reach target state


Data-related rulebooks / guidelines

  • Selection of priority data rulebooks / guidelines for MDM objects
  • Rulebook / guideline for MDM quality criteria, KPIs, and target state including implementation and process adaptation
  • Selection and implementation of tools related to data governance rulebooks / guidelines for monitoring quality and identifying areas for improvement


Data quality rulebook / guideline

  • Validation of priority quality criteria and measurement tools
  • Support to Data Owners for quality measurement and selection of target values
  • Launch of corrective actions and progress monitoring to ensure data quality targets are achieved


Systems

  • Identification of data needs on systems and businesses
  • Monitoring of IT projects with a structural impact on data (The Data Hub initiative, developments in the data warehouse, etc.)
What you bring:
  • Master's degree in Data Science or Information Science and / or MBA
  • Broad international business experience and project execution / PMO skills
  • Ability to manage stakeholders around data challenges (Business / IT)
  • 5-8 years' experience with business intelligence and master data management (or similar role) to ensure MDM can be brought to the next level
  • Expertise on data management tools / IT architecture models (Data Warehouse, Data lake, etc.)
  • Capability to drive change management 
  • Proficient in designing and implementing quality guidelines and KPIs for master data
  • Ability to assess the requirements of data management in different areas of Franke Group
  • Communications skills in English; any further European languages are an asset
