International Policy Analysis

The assistantship is for a duration of 13 months, starting preferably at the beginning of July 2022. The positions are located in Zurich.

The International Policy Analysis unit conducts analytical work and research, and briefs the top management of the SNB on international economic policy issues.

What you bring:

  • Provide support for policy-oriented empirical projects in open-economy macroeconomics and international finance.
  • Collect and analyse relevant data and drafting documents under the supervision of our experienced economists.

Your knowledge and experience:

  • Master's degree in economics and strong interest in open-economy macroeconomics and international finance.
  • Sound knowledge of econometrics as well as common data processing and statistical software (in particular Stata; knowledge of MATLAB and R is an advantage).
  • Working command of English as well as some knowledge of German or French.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to perform tasks in an autonomous and structured manner.
