Finance Generalist - 6 months (m/f)

Responsibilities:

Core accountabilities

The role holder will have the following primary areas of accountability:

Market Risk & Liquidity Control
Completion of daily, weekly and monthly reporting on key market risks for the entity in an accurate and timely manner. This includes daily FX and Interest Rate VAR reporting and monitoring in line with strict limits.

Product Control
The role holder will perform daily and monthly reporting of FX, STEX and Treasury P&Ls in an accurate and timely manner, with comprehensive explanations for any large variances.

Accounting Costs
Monthly cost accruals for the Swiss platform will be analysed and booked by the role holder who also perform variance analysis on cost movements.

Finance team support
The role holder will support a variety of other activities across the finance team including adhoc tasks and analysis, assistance with Liquidity/Regulatory reporting, exceptional payments etc

Role requirements

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal bank Policies and Policy Standards

Profile:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of standard banking products and Swiss accounting rules as well as Avaloq.

The successful candidate will be a part-qualified / qualified accountant; or with equivalent work experience.

The ideal candidate should have advanced skills in Excel and basic knowledge of VBA.

The successful candidate will have advanced spoken and written English; a working knowledge of French would be an advantage.

The right candidate will be a strong team player, a strong communicator across a wide spectrum of key clients internally and externally, will be able to work autonomously and manage their time and agenda to strict regulatory deadline
