Temporary Junior Brand Controller

In this role you will support the business and the manager with business controlling & sales analysis.

How you will create a beautiful impact:  

  1. Business Controlling & Sales Analysis

  • Analyse and present sales performance of various collections and products across different regions.

  • Preparation and Ownership of monthly sales analysis reports

  • Sales analysis and reporting on trends and evolution at both net sales and retail sales level

  1. Developing analysis to support business decisions

  • Liaising closely with product/brand development teams to analyse expected margins for new launches and product innovations.

  • Working with product/brand development teams to estimate sales potential for new products.

  • Develop analysis for various business cases to evaluate product performance including effectiveness of key initiatives

  1. Controlling of Global Brand Team budget

  • Controlling of Global Brand Team budget including update of periodic forecasts in the budgeting tool.

  • Tracking of actual versus budgeted spending for various teams.

  • Communicate periodic budget updates to the teams and understand the reasons for variances which may impact future forecasts

  • Support the annual forecast process with various budget and sales forecast analysis

  1. Support Director Controlling in reviewing marketing budget allocations of the regions and affiliates to ensure:

  • the budget allocation and actual spending are aligned with the global strategy, and:

  • the reporting is in line with reporting structure and group controlling guidelines

  1. Develop tools for tracking of ROI for various initiatives both from a product launch and sales perspective and other activation initiatives of the brand department

  2. Monthly / Periodic closing and other accounting/finance tasks:

  • Analysis of SAP data to review the actual spending versus budget month on month

  • Variance analysis for quarterly closing and forecast update

  • Support the annual closing process, work with individual teams to prepare the year end expense accruals

  1. Others:

  • Business partner to brand team, problem solving in various scenarios as the situation may be

  • Work on various adhoc analysis related to sales evolution etc., as may be required

What you need to have to be our next audacious and creative talent:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Finance Controlling and Business / Sales analysis

  • Good understanding of basic accounting functions and processes

  • Previous experience in retail or luxury or skin care/cosmetics industry preferred.

  • Analytical mindset and ability to work well with numbers

  • Detail oriented, Good business acumen

  • Ability to work well within a team, particularly as a business partner to support business teams.

  • Driven, keen to take initiative, problem solving mindset

  • Advanced excel skills

  • Experience of working with ERP (SAP preferred) and business intelligence systems (e.g. Qlikview)

Duration: 12 month temporary contract
