Head of Group Actuarial Non-Life and Responsible Group Actuary (f/m/d) Part-time/Full-time

Your responsibility

  • Leading the Group Actuarial Department with a total of 10 employees
  • Visionary and transparent leadership and empowerment of employees
  • Assessing the technical balance sheet positions of the Non-Life business of Helvetia Group and actuarial risks
  • Actuarial reporting for management and external financial reporting at the group level
  • Responsibility for guidelines, maintenance, further development, and automation of actuarial processes, systems, and models (including data flows, validations, and reporting)
  • Independent reserve reviews of all management units
  • Exchange, training, and support of Non-Life actuaries within Helvetia Group
  • Modeling of insurance technical risks in the Swiss Solvency Test
  • Contact person for internal and external stakeholders (management, various departments, auditors, regulators) on actuarial issues
  • Representation of the department in various projects and internal committees (Non-Life Committee, CFO Management Team, Claims Committee)

Your qualification

  • Several years of experience in direct and indirect leadership of employees across countries
  • Extensive professional experience in a comparable role with expertise in Non-Life actuarial field
  • Ability to build sustainable relationships with various stakeholders across all hierarchical levels and in an international context
  • Experience and confidence in dealing with prudential supervision
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills in English, German and additional languages are an advantage
  • Goal-oriented working style and strategic thinking
  • Degree in mathematics, finance, or actuarial science
