eFX Trader, Spot, FX & DA Trading

As an eFX Trader you will join the Spot team of the FX & DA Trading Department, which serves the bank's electronic trading business as principal counterparty in OTC venues and CLOBs and as operator of SQX: Swissquote's own cryptocurrency exchange.

As a team we:

  • contribute to the bank's commercial goals by managing the electronic risk book (proprietary internalization system).
  • provision competitive Spot liquidity while meeting risk policies of the bank.
  • ensure a gainful network of trading counterparties.
  • ensure SQX serves as an attractive and compliant marketplace for clients and market-makers.
  • drive the bank's ongoing investments in its proprietary trading and risk systems in collaboration with software engineers and IT.
  • drive the quantitative research initiatives relevant to our business scope.
  • ensure excellent product quality and participate in its continuous improvement.
  • facilitate new business initiatives in collaboration with various internal teams.

The goal is for you to gradually become a trusted and independent member of the team, contributing positively to its daily eFX activities and overall capacity. Specifically:

  • Stay on top of our risk PnL and inventory and act according to procedures e.g. adjust system configuration.
  • Assess client flow, provision liquidity accordingly and be a reference point to Sales and other internal teams.
  • Assess sourced liquidity and act to optimize it e.g. proactively liaise with LPs, adjust systematic hedging configuration etc.
  • Use internal analytical tools and your own quantitative capabilities to draw data-driven conclusions, suggest actions, deliver reporting.
  • Ensure that systems perform as expected and consult IT and software engineers when necessary.

Your fellow Digital Assets Traders will be counting on you, as a positive team member, to be in position to act as their backup when needed.

As you grow overall, you will have the opportunity to actively impact the business, quantitative and tech projects in scope of which our team acts as stakeholder.
