Position:
Finders know this Client well and are therefore able to explain the bank's very nice culture and team set up to any potentially suitable applicant. You should have strong experience in private banking credit but also be able to assist on financial risk and enjoy a broad role.

Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Risk Officer, this job is to join a busy team of 3, in order to strengthen the team, as regards credit (mortgage, lombard) as well as some aspects relating to financial risk.
As a dynamic and experienced credit & risk officer, this is the chance to have a pivotal role in strengthening the bank's credit and risk management and control framework. An integral part of the team, at a meaningful level - you will contribute to the ongoing success of this financial institution by ensuring that their operations align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Tasks to include, but not limited to:
- Oversee credit requests, conducting thorough credit analysis and ensuring compliance with internal and external rules
- Daily monitoring of credit risk associated with loans and transactions as well as mortgages (residential)
- Preparation of comprehensive Credit Requests for presentation to the Credit Committee
- Periodic file reviews to ensure adherence to credit and collateral documentation, regulatory compliance, and credit policy
- Provide support to the Chief Risk Officer by contributing to written analyses and reports related to credit activities
- Collaborate with the Risk team to identify and monitor various risks, including financial risk (reconciliations), counter-party, interest rate and market risk (to a small extent)
- Facilitate audits and reviews by working closely with external and internal auditors
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) is a plus but not a must
- Your experience could typically combine banking and Big 4 (financial control, risk management, credit)
- Minimum of 3 years+ of experience in the credit activity (Mortgage and/or Lombard) risk management and control
- A flexible person, comfortable in a broad function
- Strong understanding of Swiss banking regulations and international financial standards essential
- Excellent analytical skills and communication skills
- Experience working with internal and external auditors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bloomberg etc ; at ease with PMS systems and able to pick up new systems easily, IT savvy (Excel; also SQL and VBA a plus but not a must)
- Fluent English and fluent French; German a plus as well as any other languages an asset
- Valid Swiss work permit (frontalier ok)
