Senior Tax Planning Manager

Senior Tax Planning Manager - (1700008U)

Johnson & Johnsons Corporate Tax Department is currently recruiting for a Senior Tax Planning Manager to support the
Actelion Pharmaceutical business. The position will report directly to the Pharmaceutical Tax Planning Group and will
collaborate closely with a variety of groups including the Country Tax Centers, Supply Chain, R&D, and Finance Groups.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate must be a self-directed individual able exercise a high level of independent judgment,
execute activities in a highly complex environment, and possess strong communication, business partnering and people
management skills. Specific duties will include performing the following activities for Actelion, in close consultation
with the EMEA Pharm Tax Planning Director and the Actelion Tax Transition Project leader:

- Advise on sourcing strategies for Actelion existing and new products
- Advise on R&D, Acquisition, Divestiture and License Projects for Actelion related projects/products
- Manage Subpart F compliance which includes annual assessment and documentation of business operations
- Advise business partners on Subpart F requirements
- Collaborate with Country Tax Centers for all regions on compliance and reporting issues
- Consolidate and manage Actelions global effective tax rate including tax reserve analysis
- Oversee transfer pricing governance, audit support and intercompany pricing for Actelion products and assist with
the development of global transfer pricing strategies
- Assist with Actelion Transition Teams on legal entity management, business integrations and other acquisition
related issues
- Work independently on all aspects of international tax and initiate collaboration with business partners, including
local Swiss tax issues
- Collaborate with others within the Global Tax Organization to promote best practices and knowledge sharing
- Advise on ERP Design and Data Structure
- Participate in department projects initiated by J&J Global Tax and Pharm Tax Planning Groups
- Establish an engaged culture that is focused on compliance, continuous improvement and staff development

Candidate Requirements

- BS/BA in Finance or accounting
- Minimum of 7 years tax experience, including tax compliance, reporting and transfer pricing
- MST/JD/MBA preferred, CPA/CMA preferred
- Strong communication and business partnering skills required
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- OneSource experience preferred
- SAP experience preferred
