Head of Legal - Corporate Banking

For our client, focused on corporate banking business, we are looking for a Head of Legal, to lead their legal team sitting in Zurich. The role involves overseeing litigation, regulatory compliance, and legal risk management.

About the job:

• Lead and develop the legal team, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals;
• Provide expert legal counsel on litigation, risk mitigation, and regulatory matters;
• Manage internal legal support for contracts, transactions, and new product development;
• Oversee litigation, coordinate with external counsel, and control legal budgets;
• Support compliance and risk management functions;
• Deliver legal training and ensure adherence to Swiss and international regulations.

About the candidate:

• Master's degree in Law; admission to practice in Switzerland or a reputable jurisdiction;
• 10+ years of legal experience, including 5+ years in a senior role within financial services;
• Expertise in Swiss banking law, dispute resolution, and regulatory matters;
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills;
• Fluent in English and German;
• Swiss/EU passport or valid Swiss work permit required.
