Financial Reporting Accountant

Job description:
  • Support the preparation of financial statements for the organisation, its pension fund, investment pools, and affiliated entities.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting processes for daily operations, period-end closings, reconciliations, and controls.
  • Assist with annual audits, addressing queries and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Create and analyse key financial, management, and budget reports, including disclosures.
  • Contribute to finance system upgrades, process improvements, and internal control enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, offering cross-departmental support.
  • Review and update finance-related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
  • This is a business continuity (BC) critical role requiring regular BC preparedness testing.
Requirements:
  • A university degree in accounting, business administration, or a quantitative discipline.
  • A primary accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, Wirtschaftsprüfer or similar qualification, or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience with and strong skills in financial reporting and accounting in an international environment, preferable in the financial industry.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skill
