Finance Manager (Accounting & Controlling)

As a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), Senn Chemicals produces amino acid derivatives and peptides on behalf of clients worldwide for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. We are seeking about 5-8 years experienced and hands on Finance person. The person will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the company. This role requires a dynamic person with a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive financial performance in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Professional Responsibility for Accounting and Financial Reporting for Switzerland
- Management of general and sub-ledgers, preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Coordination and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements under IFRS and other reporting requirements, including the processing and posting of monthly closing entries
- Review and validation of inventory bookings and stock levels
- Responsibilities of banking operations, direct and indirect taxes and secretarial work related to board meetings, shareholder meeting, co law matters
- Preparation of financial statements and documentation for the external auditors and active support during audits
- Short-term liquidity management
- Participation in ongoing or new finance department projects as needed
- Technical support for the accounting team and deputizing for team colleagues
Qualifications:
- Certified finance and accounting professional (with Swiss federal diploma); CPA or equivalent qualification is an advantage
- Proven experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards
- Proven experience in managing accounting functions
- Proficiency in financial softwares and SAP
- Fluent in English and German
