Head of Legal - Corporate Banking

You will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, ensuring legal compliance while enabling commercial success.

About the job:

• Lead and manage the legal department, providing strategic legal advice to senior management and business units.

• Oversee all legal matters related to corporate lending, structured finance, capital markets, and cross-border transactions.

• Ensure compliance with Swiss, EU, and international banking regulations and legal frameworks.

• Develop and implement internal legal policies and risk mitigation strategies.

• Liaise with regulators, external counsel, and internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

• Support product development, transactional negotiations, and contract management.

• Represent the bank in legal proceedings and manage external legal providers.

About the candidate:

• Swiss or EU qualified lawyer with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in corporate banking or financial services.

• Proven track record in a senior legal role within a regulated financial institution or top-tier law firm.

• Deep understanding of Swiss banking law, financial regulation, and corporate governance.

• Fluency in German and English (spoken and written) is essential.

• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage complexity, lead through change, and operate with discretion and integrity.
