About the Role (80% - 100% to be agreed upon)

SEALSQ is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Accounting Generalist to support our growing finance team. In this versatile role, you'll contribute across the core areas of the accounting function: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash & Bank, General Ledger. In addition, you’ll provide support in the administration of SEALSQ’s employee share option scheme. While prior experience in equity administration is not required, an interest in learning and a proactive mindset is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with foundational accounting experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Accounting Generalist 80% - 100%

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable

Process supplier invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments

Maintain vendor records and assist with month-end AP close

  • Accounts Receivable

Prepare and issue customer invoices; apply and reconcile incoming payments

Monitor receivables and assist with credit control and reporting

  • Bank & Cash Management

Reconcile bank accounts and support cash flow tracking

Handle day-to-day cash transactions and manage petty cash if applicable

  • General Ledger

Post journal entries and assist in account reconciliations

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

Intercompany Accounting

  • Share Option Scheme Support

Help administer SEALSQ’s employee share option plan, including documentation and record-keeping

Liaise with internal stakeholders and external advisors as needed

(No prior experience needed – training will be provided.)

  • Team & Administrative Support

Assist with internal reporting, audit prep, and ad hoc financial tasks

VAT & Tax declarations

Adapt to evolving team priorities and support cross-functional projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ practical experience in accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, etc.)
  • Diploma or Bachelor, in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
  • Comfortable working with Excel and accounting systems (knowledge Business Central is a plus)
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
  • High level of integrity and discretion when working with sensitive data
  • Fluent in English & French (German or Spanish is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a multinational or technology-driven environment
  • Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS or Swiss GAAP
  • Interest in digital security, semiconductors, or equity schemes
