Risk Control Officer

About the role
The Risk Control Officer will be part of a dynamic and agile team within the Risk Management department.
The role of the Risk Control Officer is to participate in the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of the risks of the Bank, and in establishing Key Risk Indicators and legal reporting. The Officer is responsible for conducting daily controls related to the Bank’s activities, while maintaining a critical and proactive approach to mitigate emerging risks. Additionally, the Risk Control Officer actively participates in the regulatory watch process.

Key responsibilities

Monitoring and reporting of risks

  • Establish reporting on financial and operational risks (credit risk, liquidity risk, market risk, operational risk) for the Bank’s management and Board of Directors
  • Prepare external reporting delivered to the financial authorities, including SNB statistics related to credit risk, liquidity risk and market risk
  • Perform daily risk controls
  • Perform ad-hoc impact analysis for interest rate risk and credit risk
  • Establish ad-hoc reporting requested by the Bank’s management and Board of Directors

Identification and assessment of risks

  • Based on pre-defined scenarios, perform stress tests and analysis for liquidity risks
  • Participate in the definition and calculation of key risk indicators on the CTF activity

Transversal projects

  • Participate in the internal working groups for strengthening the operational risks framework and redefining the Business Continuity Management process
  • Participate in the regulatory watch process and internal projects launched internally
  • Participate in the drafting of Risk Control policies, directives and procedures when necessary.

Your profile

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Economics or equivalent with a focus on Finance, Audit or Control.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Banking Audit or Risk Management within a bank
  • Very good knowledge of Swiss Banking environment and of the related rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Report Generator (FIRE) and SNB reporting would be an asset.
  • At ease with IT tools.
  • Knowledge of banking transactions related to Commodity Trade Finance and Treasury would be an asset.
  • Ability to work and manage projects with autonomy.
  • Solution-oriented, well organized with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Precise, accurate and attentive to details.
  • Strong communication and proven analytical skills.
  • Able to prioritize workload.
  • Team spirit.
  • Fluent in English and French, written and oral.
