Accounting Senior
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Accounting Manager who is eager to grow their career in Finance operations within the exciting watchmaking industry. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring financial integrity across the organization and acts as a key liaison between global stakeholders and local teams.
The Accounting Manager will oversee two direct reports (Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable) and will work closely with our factory team in Switzerland, the global supply chain in China, and our international distribution partners.
What You'll Do
- Ensure accurate day-to-day financial accounting and timely month-end closings in compliance with the Swiss Code of Obligations
- Maintain the integrity and completeness of sub-ledger data across two legal entities
- Prepare and reconcile VAT filings across multiple jurisdictions (CH, DE, UK, OSS)
- Review financial documentation and perform intercompany reconciliations
- Deliver management reporting packages to support strategic decision-making
- Prepare annual financial statements and disclosures per Swiss GAAP
- Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and other compliance matters
- Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development
- Lead or contribute to projects in automation, digitalization, and process optimization
About you:
- Degree in Accounting, or completed Swiss Sachbearbeiter/in Rechnungswesen certificate
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
- Solid understanding of the Swiss Code of Obligations; knowledge of Swiss GAAP or IFRS is a plus
- Business fluency in German and English is mandatory
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High sense of ownership and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communicator with a proactive, flexible working style
- Proficient in SAP, MS Outlook, Excel, and other standard tools
- Comfortable working with multidisciplinary, cross-cultural teams
