Quantitative Risk Manager - Private Markets 80-100%
Job Description
Our Risk Management team plays a key role in analyzing, assessing, mitigating and communicating risks across our investment platform. Join us as a Quantitative Risk Manager in Pfäffikon SZ and help shape the future of Private Markets. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team with deep expertise, and broad involvement across the Private Markets platform. In your role, you will directly contribute to risk management and strategic decision-making. Your Responsibilities
Drive both quantitative and qualitative risk management activities across our Private Markets investment portfolios;
Serve as a subject-matter expert for quantitative, data-driven, and system-related risk management topics;
Support the full end-to-end risk management process, including Investment & Portfolio Risk Review meetings, the Investment Committee, and the Investment Allocation Process, and prepare high-quality analyses for each;
Develop and maintain robust quantitative risk analyses and models, delivering clear analytics and actionable insights for portfolio reviews, committee discussions, and ongoing monitoring.;
Build scalable, automated data pipelines and risk reports/dashboards using Python, SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI;
Monitor portfolio exposures, performances, concentrations, liquidity, leverage, FX risk, and other key risk metrics;
Translate complex data sets into concise, decision-ready insights for internal and external stakeholders;
Continuously enhance our risk management framework, methodologies, processes, and reporting standards for Private Markets;
Collaborate closely with investment teams as well as Data/IT, operations, legal, and compliance to deliver holistic, high-quality risk assessments.
Requirements
Academic degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline;
Proficient in data analysis and programming, with experience using Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, and programming in Python, C/C++, Matlab, or similar. Knowledge of developing and implementing mathematical models is a plus;
Experience in risk management, especially in Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure, or Private Real Estate, or related investment or asset management risk roles, is preferred;
Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders;
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
