Job description:

As a Senior Project Manager, you ensure the structured, transparent, and methodical execution of complex, cross-functional development projects. You enable teams and leadership to make fact-based decisions, safeguard adherence to governance and processes, and drive cross-functional alignment – while continuously improving execution performance across the organization.

Your responsibilities:

  • Structured management and steering of complex, interdisciplinary development projects
  • Ensuring transparency, alignment, and methodical governance across all project phases
  • Creating decision-ready analyses, status reports, and steering documents for senior leadership
  • Coordinating and aligning stakeholders across engineering, production, quality, procurement, and product management
  • Active risk, issue, and change management in complex projects and programs
  • Facilitating alignment discussions and promoting fact-based decision-making
About the customer:

Our client is a technology-driven company in the field of Research & Development, located in the greater Zurich area. The organization develops complex, cross-functional products and places great importance on structured project execution, clear governance, and close collaboration across engineering, production, quality, and procurement.

The position is based in the greater Zurich area with the option to work 20% remotely. The assignment runs from May 2026 to February 2027 with a 1-year extension option.

Requirements:

What you bring:

  • 5–8 years of experience in structured execution of complex, cross-functional development projects
  • Experience coordinating or leading interdisciplinary technical projects (mechatronic, embedded, system-level, or cross-functional)
  • Solid understanding of business-economic correlations, cost structures, and scenario evaluation
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools, processes, and governance frameworks
  • Proven track record in stakeholder coordination across multiple departments
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering & Business, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field

Tools & Languages:

  • MS Office Suite (5+ years, required)
  • Planview (nice to have)
  • Sciforma (nice to have)
  • English – business fluent (required)
  • German – advanced (nice to have)
