IT Support Specialist with a focus on Hardware (a) 100%

Our client, a renowned international financial institution with modern offices in Basel, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist (a) to support the IT Services team. The selected candidate will play an important role within the project and contribute significantly to its successful execution.

Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for the primary following activities:

• Act as the point of contact for all IT hardware inventory-related matters across the organization
• Perform regular scans and checks of client hardware items and the Configuration Management Database to ensure data accuracy
• Maintain an up-to-date record of all inventory findings and provide regular as well as on-demand reports to stakeholders
• Ensure the quality and integrity of hardware inventory data is continuously reviewed, validated, and kept current
• Assist in the movement of IT hardware between locations as required by project activities
• Support Field Support teams with IT client hardware moves and installations
• Assist with the staging and preparation of IT client hardware for deployment

Profile

To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate must have:

• A minimum of 1 year of work experience in inventory management, stock control, IT Support or a comparable role (internships will also be considered)
• Experience in a customer-facing role within a corporate environment
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to manage expectations professionally
• Demonstrated initiative, drive, and enthusiasm in carrying out responsibilities
• A proactive approach to completing tasks with a sense of ownership and accountability
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with common IT hardware
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, German or French is a plus
