Senior Trust Officer
Job description:

Our client is a well-established boutique fiduciary services provider based in Zurich city center.

On behalf our client and its growing team, Swisslinx is looking for a Senior Trust Officer. This role involves full responsibility for a portfolio of complex fiduciary structures, with a primary focus on high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients from Latin America.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality trust and company administration services, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure full regulatory and internal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a portfolio of trusts, companies, and foundations (individuals, families, and corporates).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and their advisors.
  • Draft, review, and execute trust-related documentation, including resolutions, letters of wishes, distributions, and asset transfers.
  • Liaise with legal, tax, and financial advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of client files in line with Swiss and international regulatory standards (FATCA, CRS, AML).
  • Monitor asset performance and ensure compliance with trust terms.
  • Support client onboarding processes, including KYC/AML reviews and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with compliance, legal, and investment monitoring teams both locally and internationally.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior trust officers and administrators.
  • Support client visits and contribute to business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • University degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • STEP Diploma or an equivalent fiduciary qualification is strongly preferred.
  • 7-10+ years of experience as a Trust Officer or Senior Trust Officer within an international fiduciary environment, ideally in Switzerland.
  • Experience with common law trusts, international estate planning, and asset protection strategies.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese are considered an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of AML, CRS, FATCA, and Swiss fiduciary regulations.
  • Excellent drafting and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex structures and handle sensitive client relationships with discretion.
  • Well-organised, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • CH/EU national, or holder of a valid Swiss work permit.

What's on offer

  • A stable, collaborative working environment within a long-standing and reputable team.
  • Exposure to a high-quality international client base.
  • Opportunities for professional development.
  • 6 weeks paid holidays.
  • A competitive salary package, incl. employer coverage of two-thirds of pension contributions.
  • 1 day of home office per week.

If you do not hear from us within two to three weeks, it is likely that we will not be progressing your application further on this occasion. However, please rest assured that we will retain your profile on file and will contact you should a suitable opportunity arise in the future.
