Business Controller m/w/d

Your tasks & responsibilities
In this role as Business Controller, you will be part of the Business Unit Controlling team and support financial steering, reporting, and analysis activities. You will contribute to financial transparency by analyzing business performance, identifying deviations, and providing insights to support decision-making.Working in a cross-functional and international environment, you will collaborate with stakeholders across business, operations, accounting, and HQ functions. You will gain exposure to various aspects of controlling while continuously developing your analytical and business understanding.

Your main tasks will include:
  • Support monthly reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes in close collaboration with HQ Controlling
  • Analyze financial performance and track deviations from budget, including preparing clear and structured commentary
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports, analyses, and business reviews
  • Maintain and further develop reporting tools, dashboards, and controlling systems
  • Support stakeholders in understanding financial figures and performance drivers
  • Contribute to finance-related and cross-functional projects
  • Identify opportunities for improving processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field and/or Finance background
  • Initial experience in controlling, finance, or a similar analytical role
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience with SAP (CO-PA is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured way of thinking
  • Proactive and reliable working style with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with different stakeholders
  • Team player with a hands-on and solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Cognos) is beneficial
  • Fluent in English
  • German and/or Italian are a plus
