China Construction Bank (the second-largest bank in the world) opened its Zurich Branch in 2016, becoming the first Chinese bank in Switzerland and the only RMB clearing bank for Switzerland. Our goal is to provide reliable, high-quality, and efficient financial services to Swiss companies with business relations in China and Chinese companies with business relations in Switzerland. We primarily focus on corporate banking for top companies from selected industries, large and medium-sized clients, and support their trade and investment relationships. Additionally, we are also developing our business with medium-sized, family-owned Swiss companies to help them establish their presence in the Chinese market. Our offerings include commercial lending, trade finance, treasury, RMB clearing and settlement, RMB Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (RQFII), and other banking products and service. We are looking for a highly motivated RM Assistant.
Your main responsibilities
- Conduct market research, stay informed about industry trends, and provide valuable insights to the team.
- Continuously identify and develop new clients and corporate business opportunities with companies in Switzerland and China.
- Prepare credit application reports, including industry analysis, fundamental research, and financial analysis.
- Participate in the credit application process, portfolio construction, and subsequent implementation.
- Prepare and present necessary documentation, reports, and presentations for client interactions.
- Support the team with client contact, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist the team with daily tasks such as KYC, payments, rollovers, etc.
Your qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a financial institution, preferably in corporate banking.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese; proficiency in German would be an advantage.
- Team player who enjoys working in a multi-cultural, international environment.
