We are seeking an experienced Credit Trader with a focus on synthetic credit derivatives, particularly Credit Default Swaps (CDS) and Credit-Linked Notes (CLNs). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in trading single-name and index CDS, as well as experience in structuring or trading CLNs. A strong understanding of credit markets is essential. Experience in bond trading-especially in a market-making or brokerage setting-is a significant plus. This role involves managing risk, sourcing and executing trades, and providing market intelligence to internal and external stakeholders. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment is critical. Experience in other asset classes is also a strong plus.

What you'll do
- Execute and manage trading positions in credit derivatives, with a primary focus on CDS (both single-name and index)
- Source and manage liquidity across CDS markets, maintaining a strong presence with counterparties and clients
- Monitor and interpret macroeconomic indicators, credit events, and issuer-specific developments to inform trading decisions
- Collaborate with sales and structuring teams to identify and execute trading opportunities and deliver tailored solutions to clients
- Provide real-time market colour, pricing, and trade ideas to both clients and internal stakeholders
- Proactively manage risk and optimize P&L through strategic hedging and inventory management
- Ensure all trading activities comply with internal risk policies and external regulatory requirements
- (Optional): Support bond execution and contribute to corporate bond trading efforts where needed
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in credit trading, with a strong emphasis on CDS and other credit derivatives
- Deep understanding of credit markets, including derivative structures and risk frameworks
- Experience with trading systems and platforms such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb, or equivalent
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel required (VBA and/or Python is a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey market insights clearly
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to make swift, sound trading decisions under pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
