What to expect
As Deputy Head Finance, you will support the further optimization and expansion of our finance functions, ensure compliance with governance standards, and later take over the personnel and functional management of our finance department. Your main tasks include participating in all essential operational processes such as planning and budgeting, periodic financial statements, and internal and external reporting. Additionally, you will focus on redesigning and optimizing various financial processes in close cooperation with Generali Investment's parent company in Italy, Generali insurance units in Switzerland, and external service providers. Depending on the implementation level, you will directly take over the management and responsibility of these redesigned processes.
The skills you'll bring
- University degree in business administration with a focus on finance or a comparable education,
- At least 5 years of professional responsibility and leadership experience in the finance functions within the financial industry; experience in an international group/corporate environment and/or in a FINMA-regulated environment is an advantage,
- At least 10 years of practical experience in finance and accounting, with book closing experience under Swiss law (OR) and IFRS,
- In-depth knowledge of strategic planning, controlling, and reporting processes,
- Proven project experience in leading and implementing interdisciplinary, cross-company financial projects,
- Experience in the fund sector, in asset management, and a good understanding of common financial products is an advantage,
- Strong IT skills, especially in MS Office, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, and experience with various financial applications (group consolidation)
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken; Italian skills are an advantage,
- Initiative, assertiveness, empathy, and team spirit
