Securities & Hedge Funds Settlements specialist
Full time office role (100% in the office)
Zürich, Switzerland location
12 months fixed term contract
Responsibilities:
Hedge Funds Settlements
· Processes private placement hedge funds and mutual funds transfers for our clients
· Ensure risk aware exception handling, trade monitoring and manual interventions on client & market transactions.
· Liaise between custodians and transfer agents to ensure timely settlement of client assets.
· Knows the difference between a mutual fund and a hedge fund
· Understands high-level how those products are bought or sold (subscription / redemption)
· and specifically, how those products are transferred from one bank to another (via transfer agents, legal documentation required, stock transfer forms, etc.)
· Understands the roles of a transfer agent / fund administrator / transferee / transferor
Securities Settlements
· Provides settlement services in our role as global custodian for our clients.
· Ensure securities portfolios are transferred between other financial institutions.
· Guarantee timely settlement of transactions in global markets and play an active role in looking after accurate realignments of securities positions.
Skills and Experience:
• Good ?understanding of securities markets specifically functions of a custodian.
• Knowledge of Equities and Fixed Income products with an understanding of processing confirmations and settlements.
• 1-6 years experience in Corporate Actions event processing and reconciliation.
• Profound experience in securities settlements (capturing, instructing & monitoring orders).
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging, typically MT54x settlement instructions.
