Are you an experienced antitrust lawyer looking to make a significant impact in a global specialty chemicals company? Clariant is seeking an Antitrust Counsel to join our Legal & Compliance team. In this strategic role you will provide expert antitrust guidance across complex litigations, M&A transactions, and business operations while driving our compliance program forward.
Responsibilities
Litigation Support:
Support complex litigations related to antitrust matters, particularly civil damages claim following European Commission decision.
M&A Excellence:
Provide expert antitrust advice and strategic guidance throughout M&A transactions.
Manage and coordinate merger and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) filings worldwide.
Ensure comprehensive antitrust compliance throughout global M&A processes.
Business Partnership:
Deliver expert antitrust counsel to Business Units and Global Functions across all regions.
Provide timely and practical advice in fast-paced business environments.
Compliance Program Leadership:
Support the implementation of our antitrust compliance roadmap.
Continuously enhance the Antitrust Compliance Program using industry best practices.
Design and deliver tailored antitrust training programs for diverse audiences.
Conduct antitrust compliance investigations as needed.
Requirements
- Swiss Bar Exam or EU Member State Bar Exam (Master of Laws/LLM is a plus).
- 3+ years post-qualification experience in antitrust law at a top-tier law firm or multinational company.
- Experience in antitrust investigations and litigation.
- Experience in handling merger/FDI filings across multiple jurisdictions is advantageous.
- Fluent in English and German (additional languages beneficial).
- Strong understanding of antitrust law frameworks and their applicability to business in key global markets.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong presentation, training delivery, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and compliance management systems.
