To further strengthen our "Finance"department, we are currently looking for an "Accounting Manager".

 

The Position

 

As "Accounting Manager" you will be responsible for the oversight of the General Accounting area. You will manage the daily operations and make sure that Meggitt SA is compliant with the local requirements and the Group policies. In additional, you will supervise a team of 2 specialists supporting Accounts Payables, Credit Control, General Accounting and 1 apprentice. Lastly, you will ensure the timely and quality provision of services by the Financial Shared Service Centre

 

Accounting Manager

To further strengthen our "Finance"department, we are currently looking for an "Accounting Manager".

 

The Position

 

As "Accounting Manager" you will be responsible for the oversight of the General Accounting area. You will manage the daily operations and make sure that Meggitt SA is compliant with the local requirements and the Group policies. In additional, you will supervise a team of 2 specialists supporting Accounts Payables, Credit Control, General Accounting and 1 apprentice. Lastly, you will ensure the timely and quality provision of services by the Financial Shared Service Centre

 

The main responsibilities for this role are:

Lead accounting activities in area of GL, AP and AR

  • Lead monthly / quarterly / yearly closing processes followed by reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts. Liaise with FSSC on day-to-day activities (GL, AP, AR)

  • On a monthly basis calculates and manages various provisions and accruals (ex. Rebates, commissions, maintenance, etc.)

  • Preparation of periodic tax reruns (VAT, Income, etc.)

  • Supervision of A/P activities to ensure timely payments to suppliers (follow up of supplier invoices approval process, employees' T&E expense reports)

  • Approve exception payments outside of the regular payment runs

  • Supervision of credit control activities (review high risk accounts, credit limit and payment terms approvals, yearly credit limit reviews for customers)

  • Coordination with FSSC and local sales teams to achieve cash collection targets and resolution of customer queries

 

Ensures compliance with Meggitt Procedures and Policies, accounting standards and local Swiss requirements

  • Accurately reports the financial results of the business' operations in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local Swiss requirements

  • Ensure timely and complete financial statements and manage preparation of Meggitt SA statutory accounts

  • Lead internal and external financial and tax audits

 

Others duties:

  • Make sur that the company is compliant with the Treasury Group Policy (i.e. FX Hedges)

  • Prepare the budget and revised forecasts for the balance sheet items and Free Cash Flows

  • Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations

     

Your Profile

  • Minimum 5-6 years' experience in a similar position

  • Swiss Brevet in Accounting

  • Fluent in French & English

  • Expert knowledge of SAP & Excel

  • Team work, flexibility, proactiveness & can do attitude
