We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our fast-growing client, in the Financial Services sector in Zurich
Legal Counsel
About the Role:
Support the execution of legal, compliance, and regulatory strategy under senior leadership
Assist with regulatory licensing applications, filings, and ongoing entity administration
Maintain internal legal records, contract repositories, and risk/risk-register documentation
Support compliance and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions
Act as compliance officer for regulated entities (where required)
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to support compliant product launches
Draft, review, and support negotiation of:
NDAs
Commercial contracts
Partnership agreements
Service provider agreements
Fund-related documentation (e.g., administration agreements, IMAs, side letters, etc.)
Support corporate governance processes, including:
Assist with employment documentation (offer letters, contractor agreements)
Support basic intellectual property matters under supervision
Contribute to improving legal templates, playbooks, and internal legal processes
Support data privacy and security compliance efforts (including GDPR)
About the Candidate:
Qualified lawyer with 3-5+ years of experience
Strong experience in financial regulation and cross-border licensing (e.g., AIFMD, MiFID, or equivalent)
Familiarity with investment products, fund structures, and product design
Strong working understanding of corporate law
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving regulatory requirements
Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-driven with strong integrity and accountability
Strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Confident working cross-functionally with non-legal teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations)
Nice to have:
Mix of private practice and in-house experience
Experience in fintech, digital assets, tokenized finance, or innovative financial products
Exposure to compliance operations and/or data privacy (including GDPR)
Able to share real examples of regulatory work or complex legal challenges handled in practice
