We are looking for a General Counsel to join an investment management firm in Zurich. Swiss Bar Admission is a must have, together with German and English language capabilities.
General Counsel
About the role:
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to senior management and the Board on all legal and regulatory matters
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of six legal professionals, fostering a high-performance culture
- Oversee legal aspects of investment activities, including fund structuring, transactions, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure adherence to Swiss and international financial regulations
- Manage external counsel and legal service providers efficiently
- Support strategic initiatives, including new product launches and cross-border expansion
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across the organization
About the candidate:
- Swiss Bar qualification (mandatory)
- Fluency in both German and English (mandatory)
- Significant experience in investment management, asset management, or financial services
- Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing teams
- Strong knowledge of Swiss financial market regulations and international legal frameworks
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
