Shape and conduct Finance for a global industrial market leader
Main Objectives
- Reporting directly to the CFO you oversee the Group Accounting requirements, and you are the sparring partner across all entities for all group accounting and reporting purposes
- You assume responsibility of the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, and you are the privileged point of contact of external auditors
- As Team Leader you manage a small team of 4 accountants in a Swiss SME context and you are the architect of the local finance team transition for the company’s future
- You demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and a great willingness to deal with a fair diversity of challenges at different levels in the company
Your Responsibilities
On international level
- Coordinate the group reporting process, prepare the consolidated financial statement according to IFRS and ensure the compliance of the transfer pricing system
- Check quality and accuracy of the monthly and quarterly reporting sent by the subsidiaries including monthly input of data into the group reporting system for some legal entities
- Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and planning and support treasury and cash management
- Assist the preparation of analysis and supporting documentation for presentation purposes (extern and intern)
- Be a sparring partner to the non-financial reporting (GRI, Sustainability, etc.)
- Assist on specific CFO topics including Project Calculations and Project Finance
On national level
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal or cantonal regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
- Be fully involved in the day-to-day business with occasional presentations to a board of directors
- Prepare the accounting team for a smooth transition from both a human resource and a software perspective
- Represent the company with governmental tax and VAT controls, liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, legal affairs, etc.
Your Skills
- Education in Accounting and Finance (University or FH) or equivalent professional qualifications
- Proven experience in Accounting and/or Controlling roles with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managing function
- Deep knowledge of IFRS, Swiss Gaap, Swiss OR, and experience in preparing consolidated financial statements is a must
- Strong user knowledge of Excel and other MS tools, experience in SAGE and IBM Cognos is a serious advantage
- Experience in bookkeeping and accounting software transition is a valued advantage
- Excellent English and French language skills (verbal and written)
- Professional experience in an international commodity procurement context is preferred
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
- Team-oriented personality, persistent and hardworking
- Willing to travel internationally on occasional basis
